So what's with 365 Days of art?

I'm taking my tasks from the fabulous artist and art author Lorna Scobie.
Day 6
Task; Complete the school of fish
Brace yourself. I'm hitting cute today. I'm going to show you how to make your very own pack of fishes. Pencil Case Supplies Watercolour Paper (thick like a cyclist's thighs. ) Pencil Eraser Black drawing pen, I like Uni pens. Felt tips
Step 1 Lightly draw these shapes, don't worry to much about perfection, that what's erasers and divorces are for.
Step 2 Add fins, tails and flippers. Keep the shapes simple and fun. Adding lips, eyelashes, bags, and other features to your fish, will give them a bit of personality. If only it was that easy with humans at parties. When thinking about patterns remember to give yourself enough space to work with, no point having beautiful intricate patters you can't colour in.
Step 3 Get your black pen and go over the pencil sketches, rub out the evidence. Get your felt tips, and (this is where the thick paper comes in) get colouring. Any kind of watercolour paper will soak up that ink like Hen party draining prosecco at a bottomless brunch. I like sharpies, because they are always on offer at WH-Smiths and I've used tonal colours here for added class.
Day 7
Task; Draw someone you know from memory.
This was lot harder than I thought it was going to be.
I picked my little (not so little) girl. I was desperate to ‘check’ my work but I resisted. The pencil sketch came out okay, but not sure it looks 100% like her. The unicorn in the pocket was a winner though.
Day 8
Task: Draw A collection of Vegetables.
Psychedelic vegetables anyone? Anyone? A single bite will fold time and space into a single loop on which we must forever dance. Forced to live and die and live again until the heat death of the universe freezes time, and only space is left, endless space. Or just some brightly coloured watercolour veg? Choose wisely.
Day 9
Task; Add details to the feathers and leaves.
Might have taken this one a smidge too far... Things I learnt from this is; sometimes more is not more... although never admit it in public that's how the 'beige loving minimalists' get you. Before you know it it, you're throwing away anything in your home that casts a shadow and sleeping stood up with a Crystal up your arse.
Day 10
Task: Experiment with different materials. Go large on crayons.
Did a smash and grab on my daughters pencil case for this one. Crayons have a nostalgic feel but in my mind not useful to 'do art' with but knock my socks off... I found the medium spanking with a flash of Oooo, once I figure out it's all about blending. I won't be using my little (not so little) girl's crayons anymore I'm going to be buying my very own. But Mama don't share.
